Last week, I had the privilege of attending an event benefitting Actors for Autism a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement, education, and training of people on the autism spectrum in various programs such as arts, film & television, animation, visual effects and video game industries.

I love the mission statement of the organization : “We believe that people on the autistic spectrum should live as integrated members of society. Inclusion should be a reality, not a dream.”

There are multiple locations, in southern California, including Sherman Oaks, Glendale, Beverly Hills and Westlake Village. The programs cater to children, teens and young adults, including a focus on vocational training for viable careers in the entertainment industry.

Actors for Autism was founded by Dr. Alisa Wolf. She is an author, educator, speaker and consultant for TV and Film.

I am always inspired to find out about new and fun ways that Arizona can be connected with other peers on the spectrum!
