Online course
Life Management for Special Needs Families
A completely self-paced course that takes special needs parents on a journey of rediscovering joy and balance.
I understand exactly what you’re going through.
My name is Susanna Peace Lovell, and at the age of 2.5 my now 18-year-old daughter Arizona was diagnosed with myriad challenges and disability diagnoses. I was in complete and utter shock. Even during “normal” times, raising a child with special needs can be extremely challenging — you can feel isolated and completely alone. At every stage of parenting it seems like you are facing yet another new set of “normals.” The anxiety and uncertainty each new season brings can take their toll, and you may worry that after all the progress you’ve made with your child, regression and dysregulation are settling in.
As we advocate for and support our children to lead fuller and richer lives, it is also possible for us as parents to experience this same richness for ourselves. This course dives deep into the following classes:
Class 1 · Building a Solid Foundation
Our journey as special needs parents is a non-linear one, with ups and downs, progress and setbacks. In this class, Susanna shares her story as a mom raising a daughter with myriad special needs, introduces the practice of self-care, offers specific tips for getting help for your neuro-diverse child, and leans into the spiritual practice of honoring and loving our children for exactly who they are.
Class 2 · Advocating for Your Child — and Yourself
It is equally important to stay in touch with our own needs. This class helps you set the foundation for being the best advocate for yourself and your child, shares top tips for making the most of your therapeutic journey, and offers powerful spiritual mantras for honoring our children (and ourselves) as whole, perfect and complete. Nothing needs to be “fixed” — because nothing is broken!
Class 3 · Creating Your Village
As our unique journey shifts and changes, it’s important to create a village around ourselves and our children. This class dives into building a team: finding the best learning environment, identifying the best therapeutic support, and building community — plus Susanna’s top tips for co-parenting along the journey (whether you have a “partner” or not).
Class 4 · True Self-Care
Self-care is the quickest portal to abundance — of joy, connection, purpose and fulfillment. Your ability to care for your child is heightened when your cup is full (and especially when it’s overflowing!). Susanna shares her top 7 tips for truly leaning into the practice of self-care: emotional, spiritual, physical and beyond.
