(Girlfriend Power!)

There’s a quote that has been following me around social media the past few days : “A Candle Loses Nothing by Lighting Another Candle.” It immediately brings a smile to my face because it reminds me of the powerfully inspirational relationships I have with each and every one of my dearest girlfriends.

It is such a treat to have this tribe of women around me; we all acknowledge what a rare blessing it is to have each other in our lives. Sure, we vent and gossip about the various goings on in our lives from time to time, but for the most part, we strive to inspire, uplift, empower, motivate and BUILD each other UP. We are truly happy when we see each other THRIVE. It is a powerful force to be reckoned with.

And so, I consider it a vital part of my life to have these girlfriends in my corner. We talk on the phone, get together for dinners and events, curl up on each other’s couches, travel together and most importantly, make it a priority to stay connected.

As a special needs parent, I am grateful for all the support I can get. It takes a village, doesn’t it?

What are the ways in which you find support / camaraderie / solace / strength in your tribe?
